Provides technical expertise in identifying, evaluating and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet user requirements. Configures system settings and options plans and executes unit, integration and acceptance testing and creates specifications for systems to meet business requirements. Designs, develops, modifies, debugs and evaluates programs for functional areas, including but not limited to finance, human resources, manufacturing and marketing. Analyzes existing programs or formulates logic for new systems, devises logic procedures, prepares flowcharting, performs coding and tests/debugs programs. Develops conversion and system implementation plans. Prepares and obtains approval of system and programming documentation. Recommends changes in development, maintenance and system standards. Debugs software products through the use of systematic tests to develop, apply, and maintain quality standards for company products. Create and execute software test plans. Analyzes the requirements and writes test procedures. Maintains documentation of test results to assist in debugging and modification of software. Analyzes test results to ensure existing functionality and recommends corrective action. Consults with development engineers in resolution of problems. Provides feedback of the software application under testing. Ensures processes are being followed and the overall quality of the software application.
